Vision, Mission and Values
AAUE is a registered charity, secular and non-partisan organization. It is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1996.
Vision
Make primary education accessible to all the underprivileged children of Upper Egypt.
Mission
The AAUE is an all volunteer organization dedicated to solliciting contributions from the general public, private companies and Governmental Agencies in the United States to help fund the education of the underprivilege children of Upper (southern) Egypt..
These contributions are disbursed as grants to the Association of Upper Egypt for Education and Development (AUEED) who runs the educational, health and nutrition, and developmental programs, as well as other programs aimed at community development and the improvement of living standards in Upper Egypt.
Values
AAUE seeks to work with its partner AUEED in targeting the most vulnerable groups - especially children and women. All our activities are based on the following values:
Respect
AAUE looks for and retains equilibrium between self respect, respect of others and respect of the environment.
Solidarity
By developing a sense of personal and collective responsibility and through cooperative action toward sustainable and democratic development, AAUE builds solidarity with AUEED's most disadvantaged peoples.
Partnership
AUEED competencies and its ability to propose solutions geared towards the needs of local communities constitute the foundation of a strong partnership with AAUE.
Transparency
AAUE maintains transparency in its management and decision-making processes by publishing its financial statements and openness in its relationships with donors and partners by adhering to recognized standards in being responsible for our actions and adopting a Donor Bill of Rights.
